The spring that snapped at 7 a.m.
Call received: 07:14 am, Tuesday
Diagnosis
Mr Tan Wee Kiat heard a loud crack when lowering his sectional door before the school run. One torsion spring had fractured clean through — a failure point common in 18-year-old Wayne Dalton systems installed during the early 2000s landed-estate boom.
The Fix
Crew arrived at 07:57 am with two matched torsion springs pre-measured to the door's weight. Old hardware cleared, new springs wound to factory tension, cables re-seated, door balanced and tested through twelve cycles. Concrete swept.
"They were done before my wife came back with the kids. I didn't even have to move my car."
